BARNSLEY Hospice supporters helped raise more than £10,000 for the facility in a recent fundraiser.

More than 60 people came together earlier this month to support the hospice’s ‘30 for 30’ walk.

A hospice spokesperson said: “The 30km route took them around the borough - including High Hoyland, Cawthorne, the town centre and Oakwell.

“Despite muddy conditions adding some challenges to the walk, the team finished with smiles on their faces and raised an incredible £10,105.45 for the hospice.

“This total will make a huge difference to the hospice and help us to continue providing to local people and their loved ones when they need it most.”
